About Me.

I believe that each person is unique and has different needs when it comes to the therapy process.  I adapt my approach to meet the individual needs of each person I work with, while creating a supportive, caring, and judgement-free environment.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2013, and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Utah.  I am dedicated to education, and continue to learn so I can provide you with the most up-to-date approaches.  I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Experiential Models, to name a few.

Extensive Experience

I have always been interested in emotional health.  Before I received my MSW I worked for nearly a decade in a variety of clinical settings, including residential treatment centers and therapeutic wilderness programs.  I completed a clinical internship at Utah Health and Human Rights supporting refugee survivors of torture.  As a mental health professional, I provided services based out of Utah International Charter School; a charter school that serves primarily low-income refugee and immigrant students who are in the process of learning the English language.  I began private practice in 2015 working with the exceptional group of professionals that make up Center for Counseling Excellence.
